Senior Home Textile Designer

We are a New York City-based industry leader in affordable luxury home textiles, serving North America and global markets. We are seeking a self-motivated, creative Senior Textile Designer who can bring visionary ideas to our product line.Position Overview:The Senior Textile Designer will collaborate closely with the Customer, Design, Product Development, Production, and Sales teams to create innovative designs that align with our brand's direction and to ensure the design comes to life.Primary Responsibilities:Collaborate with customers to develop designs and presentations based on their direction and feedback.Lead the preparation of seasonal presentations, ensuring all calendar deadlines and milestones are met.Conceptualize, create, and manage updates for sketches, CADs, design boards, and line sheets.Prepare artwork files and engravings for overseas vendors; maintain clear communication with factories regarding developments.Participate in Home Textiles Market Week showroom preparations and weekly client meetings.Work with the Design Director to develop home textile designs that align with brand aesthetics.Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure synergy in design and product development.Collaborate with the Merchandising team to manage tech packs and maintain quality assurance standards.Coordinate with vendors, sourcing teams, and internal hubs to introduce innovative products while meeting cost requirements.Review production samples, manage color and design approvals, and collaborate with the packaging team to execute brand vision and photography.Conduct vintage research, market analysis, fabric innovation studies, and online research to drive design innovation.Manage tech pack updates, including specs, technical information, and sample evaluation comments, while tracking design changes and production feedback.Travel for customer meetings and design research as needed.Qualifications:Experience: 8+ years of design experience in home textiles, with a specific focus on bedding.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.
