Manual processes often lead to inefficiencies, errors, and scalability challenges that impact both operational costs and customer trust.Our Solution: We're building a fully integrated software and hardware system that automates storage, handling, and inventory management for pharmacies, ensuring faster, more accurate, and cost-effective operations.What You'll Be DoingDesigning, prototyping, and testing mechanical components for robotic systems.Collaborating with teammates to integrate hardware and software for seamless system performance.Conducting hands-on experiments to validate designs and improve system reliability.Developing and refining CAD models, technical drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).Ensuring manufacturability, ease of assembly, and long-term maintainability of components.Participating in the full product development cycle from concept through production.Who You AreYou're confident in your abilities but aware of the limitations of your knowledge.You continuously seek and incorporate feedback to improve your work.You understand the gap between theory and reality and know that success comes through application and iteration.You're comfortable navigating uncertainty, figuring things out, and taking initiative to solve problems proactively.You're skilled at communicating and collaborating effectively with teammates.You value team success and believe that progress is measured by collective outcomes.RequirementsProficiency in Onshape for designing mechanical systems, or a willingness to learn.Experience taking designs from concept through prototyping, testing, and production.Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.Familiarity with industrial automation systems such as conveyor lines, palletizing lines, and inspection lines.Ability to design for manufacturability, assembly, and maintenance.Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and iterative design improvements.Hands-on experience with mechanical prototyping tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and basic shop equipment.A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Previous experience in robotics, automation, or similar hardware-focused environments is a plus.Practical detailsYou'll get a competitive salary, and you'll get to own part of the company via stock options.We are based out of midtown Manhattan, and this is an on-site, in-person role.
