Position: Project ManagerDuration: 1 year contract with possible extensionsLocation: Spring Hill, TNHours: mostly 1st Shift, during installations of new equipment, may require OT or 2nd or 3rd shift hoursMust Haves:Bachelor's degree in engineering related field or related experience5+ years of experience with managing projects in an automotive manufacturing environmentExperience working directly with suppliers/integrators, etc.Experience within automation projects Plusses:Previous experience working for a large OEM as Project ManagerMicrosoft Projects / AutoCADDay to Day: Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager for a large automotive client in the Grand Rapids area. The Project Manager will be responsible for partnering with the optimization team within the plant to help manage several projects from start to finish on the plant floor. This person will be leading and supporting optimization projects in the plant and working with multiple different teams - IEs, Supply Chain, etc. They will also be reviewing and writing SORs (statement of requirement) for projects. This person will also be running meetings and leading meetings, helping improve productivity within the plant, and help to optimize cost across the different projects being managed. This person also will be helping to lead the installation of new equipment and replacing equipment with automation machinery.
