Purpose Statement:The purpose of a Procurement Analyst is to provide direct support to the procurement staff in the replenishment of ingredients and product. The Procurement Analyst will write and adjust orders, maintain inventory objectives, and serve as a communication liaison between staff and third-party warehouses. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:Analyze and summarize reports (front page, sale, warehouse, slow turn, and new item analysis); communicate findings to ManagementUtilize Microstrategy to analyze sales and categories as a means to keep Procurement Team InformedExecute purchasing objectives while communicating with vendorsManage ingredient GP% and execute any activities needed to make improvementsIdentify and implement adjustments needed to ensure sound inventoryAssist Procurement Team in ongoing research projectsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. If requested, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential FunctionsThe core functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Utilize Microstrategy to analyze sales and categories as a means to keep Procurement Team informedExecute purchasing objectives while communicating with vendors Identify and implement order adjustments needed to ensure sound inventoryAssist Procurement Team in ongoing research projectsConduct post-ad analysis for product moving out of the warehouseAnalyze and summarize reports and communicate findings to division leadershipAssist in creating strategies and action plans to improve purchasing functions and activities Contract compliance review and analysisAssist in developing new insights through the analysis of internal and external data sourcesCraft compelling, fact-based presentations for audiences with different levels of experience and seniorityComplete cost analysis, bid analysis, and other financial reviews as necessaryQualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain, or business related filedSupermarket or other retail experience (minimum of two years preferred)Prior inventory and/or warehouse distribution experience desiredDemonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlinesWell-developed computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAPStrong customer service and leadership skillsWritten, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsExperience with project planning and/or project managementStrong attention to detailWorking Conditions & Physical Demands Ability to sit at desk for prolonged periods of timeAbility to adhere to the company's four day in office work requirement
