SUMMARYWe are searching for a Logistics Specialist to join our Logistics Team with experience in customs, imports, inventory and supply chain. Incumbent must have the ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with co-workers and suppliers; cultural sensitivity and ability to relate well and effectively in a diverse workplace. This is a full-time on-site position.RESPONSIBILITIESProcess commercial shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, & invoice, for import and domestic shipments against purchase orders and inventory guidelinesInteract/problem solve with Customs brokers/forwarders regarding shipments in transit and verify statusCommunicate with internal Purchasing staff, local warehouse, as well as remote warehouse locations, to keep track of new, pending, and in-progress inbound shipmentsCommunicate with Accounting Dept. regarding invoice payable requirementsAssist with Customs tariff classifications as neededOther tasks as assignedQUALIFICATIONS2+ years experience minimum in a logistics/freight related corporate position requiredUnderstanding of Import trade compliance regulationsActive work experience with HTS classificationsMultitasker, independent thinker and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, exciting work environmentProfessional verbal and written communication skillsOrganized and accurate with strong attention to detail in processing documents on a daily basisMicrosoft OfficeCOMPENSATION$55,000-$60,000/yr.
