Industrial Engineer

Position: Industrial Engineer Duration: 1 year + extensions Location: Warren MI 30% Travel to US based plant locations Must Haves:2+ years of experience as an industrial engineer working on a plant floor Experience operating a forklift or managing a team of people who operate forklifts Strong understanding of dock operations and material flow Experience with excel Plusses:CAD Experience LEAN manufacturingExperience with project management or cost managementDay to Day: As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding the material flow or incoming materials including dock doors, trucks, truck unloading, truck schedules, loads on the vehicle, shipping, receiving, delivery schedules, and storage. This includes visiting various GM plants across the US to understand the full process of material flow for the purpose of creating automated forklifts.
