Our client near Danvers, MA is looking to add a Technical Purchasing Specialist to their growing team for a permanent opportunity! We are looking for individuals who have both purchasing and customer service experience with technical products. This position is responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials and supplies required for production, while also delivering exceptional customer service to clients. We are looking for 5 years of experience with this kind of work, preferably in a manufacturing environment, as well as an AS Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management. This is a great opportunity with a great company, for immediate consideration, please apply today.Responsibilities:Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure the most favorable prices and terms for materials and supplies.Keep precise records of purchases, pricing, and inventory status.Track and control inventory levels to ensure materials are readily available when needed.Collaborate with the production team to predict material requirements, prevent shortages, and ensure timely deliveries.Build and nurture great relationships with key suppliers and vendors.Process customer orders and order confirmations promptly and accurately.Work closely with departments such as Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations, including preparing quotes and verifying order details.Support production and sales teams to ensure accurate lead times and order dates are communicated to customers promptly.Maintain and update customer records as necessary.Partner with sales and production teams to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery of products.
