Job Title: Multifamily Construction SuperintendentLocation: New Jersey AreaExperience Level: 10+ YearsType: Full-Time (Monday thru Saturdays)Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Multifamily Construction Superintendent with over 10 years of expertise in concrete podium and wood framing construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of managing large-scale multifamily construction projects from start to finish, overseeing day-to-day operations on site, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.As a key member of our team, you will coordinate all aspects of the construction process, manage subcontractors, ensure compliance with local regulations, and maintain a safe and productive work environment. The Superintendent reports directly to the Director of Construction and serves as the main field point of contact for subcontractors on-site.Key Responsibilities:Project Management: Oversee the entire construction process for multifamily projects, including scheduling, and quality control.Site Supervision: Supervise, manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities including site work, foundations and structure, MEPS, finishes thru project closeout.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of subcontractors, foremen, laborers, and other personnel, ensuring high levels of performance and safety.Scheduling and Coordination: Develop, maintain, and adjust project schedules to ensure timely completion, resolving any issues that may cause delays.Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all safety protocols, regulations, and OSHA standards to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.Quality Assurance: Inspect and verify that work performed meets specifications and quality standards; work closely with quality control teams to resolve any issues.Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues on-site related to construction processes, schedules, and subcontractor performance.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including daily logs, safety reports, material deliveries, and subcontractor performance.Compliance: Ensure the project complies with all local building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in the multifamily construction industry, with a strong background in concrete podium and wood framing construction.Education: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.Skills & Knowledge:o Proficient in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word).o Thorough knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and safety regulations.o Experience with project scheduling and quality control.o Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Certification required.
