Plant Manager

A great UHY client is seeking a Plant Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have food/pharmaceutical plant experience, people managing experience, and hands on experience.The Plant Manager role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.Plant ManagerObjectivesIdeate and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facilityProvide leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipmentCollaborate with functional departments in the implementation of improvementsInvestigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product qualityApply lean manufacturing principles in designing, specifying, and validating world-class manufacturing processes that achieve organizational goalsPlant ManagerResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate manufacturing operations for production, machinery, processing, and packaging departmentsEnsure that production line schedules are in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planningManage materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics in support of organizational goals and objectivesManage cost structures for manufacturing by keeping operational expenses within budget allowance, and investigate cost-reduction measuresCreate documentation protocols and ensure that all records of operations are properly maintained and reviewedEnsure all staff are trained in Good Manufacturing Practices as defined by FDAEnsure all staff are trained in OSHA requirementsMaintain a positive employee moraleOversee maintenance department to accomplish a 98% up timeVerify preventative maintenance programPlant ManagerRequired Skills & QualificationsTen or more years of experience in plant operations Food or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.Proven skills in leadership and managementDemonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principlesAble to work in a dynamic & fast paced environmentExcellent organizational & project management skillsAttention to detailsEffectively prioritize tasks & multitasksCreative problem-solving skillsPreferred: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business, engineering, or related fieldUHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
