CoWorx Staffing Services has an exciting new opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor in Palmetto GA. This is a 2nd shift position- Sun-Thurs- 3 pm to 11 pm. This is a direct hire position offering an excellent total compensation package. The ideal candidate will have maintenance leadership experience working in a distribution center.About the Role:As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of material handling systems, HVAC, building systems, and other equipment. You will supervise daily maintenance activities, set priorities, and ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies for optimal facility performance.What You'll Do:Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance associates. Provide clear work assignments, deliver performance feedback, and support skill development. Apply disciplinary policies as needed to maintain consistent management.Operational Oversight: Plan, prioritize, and coordinate the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, including conveyors, scanners, label printers, sortation devices, and HVAC systems.Policy & Safety Management: Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and good housekeeping practices. Communicate updates to procedures and provide training when necessary.Collaboration: Partner with internal departments (Operations, IT, Industrial Engineering) and external vendors to address maintenance issues, be responsible for contracts, and implement preventive maintenance programs.Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement cost-saving measures, troubleshoot equipment issues, and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime.Project Management: Lead projects related to tool organization, shop-floor systems, and computerized maintenance management software (CMMS). Oversee the timely completion of work orders and ensure accurate data entry for records.Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular maintenance inspections to identify areas for improvement. Acquire vital tools and supplies to enhance team efficiency.What You'll Bring:Experience & Expertise: 5+ years of electrical, electronic, or mechanical experience in a distribution environment, with 2-3 years in a leadership role preferred. Familiarity with automated systems is essential.Education: High School Diploma or GED required. An associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field is highly desirable.Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, effective communication, and familiarity with CMMS and other maintenance tools.Decision-Making & Resourcefulness: Proven ability to prioritize daily assignments, resolve repair issues, and serve as a substitute for the Maintenance Manager when required.This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll ensure smooth operations and minimize interruptions by fostering strong team collaboration and driving continuous improvement!
