Assistant Manager

Restaurant Depot, a national wholesale restaurant supplier is seeking experienced candidates for position of Assistant Warehouse Manager for our facility in Mira Loma, CA. This leadership role requires a strong blend of operational expertise, team management, and strategic thinking to ensure timely distribution of goods while maintaining the unique requirements of a cold storage environment. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, and safety compliance. The role involves supervising a team, monitoring inbound and outbound shipments, and ensuring accurate stock counts. A key focus is maintaining a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in managing receiving, stocking, and shipping operations.Supervise and train warehouse staff.Conduct cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy.Monitor performance metrics and meet productivity targets.Ensure adherence to safety protocols.Handle escalations in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.Qualifications:2+ years of warehouse management experience.Strong organizational and leadership skills.Proficient in warehouse management systems.Knowledge of OSHA standards.Experience in food service or cold storage environments preferred.This job requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with shifting priorities and is capable of leading a team efficiently. Note: This is a refrigerated warehouse so you will be working in a cold box environment.
