Process Engineer

Position:Process/Installation EngineerLocation: Rochester Hills, MIPay: $35-45 an hourShift: 8am-5pm75% travel as neededContract to HirePosition Summary:You will be responsible for implementing dispense products or services, or a new type of technology or process. You must be a customer-focused problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams and has experience with process, and robot programming. Position Responsibilities:Develop robot programs written in KAREL/C++ (UNIX-embedded software)), TTP+ (Teach Pendent Programs), PMC (Programmable Machine Controller) for FANUC's controller systemDevelopment of new and/or future customer product dispense features and maintain ongoing software release supportGo to customer / integration site to help setup, support and provide training on our dispense applicationDefine future robotic application process solutions through evaluation of: customer needs, internal capabilities, competitive solutions, technology advancements, and past process solutionsWrite detailed robot dispense specifications and programming guides with customersUpdate and modify design and engineering documentation as requiredSupport strong customer relationships with our Integrators & CustomersAdherence to established coding standards to produce clean, clear, well-documented, and easily-maintained codeAct as a key customer contact for product related issues, supporting executionPerform process evaluations, feasibility studies, and proposal support prior to the releaseDesign and implement processes using robots, and a wide variety of applicator products.Perform customer demonstrations and develop accurate analysis and presentation materials on the results of demonstrationsCreate and program various offline simulations of sealer automation systemsPosition Requirement:2 years of experience as an Engineer or equivalent role in an automotive, manufacturing, or automation environmentAbility to write general Basic / C++Ability to write FANUC Teach Pendant programs (basic robot programs)Must be able to present comprehensive technical evaluations and recommendations to customers3+ years' experience with Robotics or in Automation EnvironmentExperience with industrial robots and/or computer-controlled automationStrong aptitude for software and software development toolsStrong aptitude for technical writing and typing skillsStrong ANSI-C language coding skillsStrong Real-Time Operating System and embedded software development skillsStrong FANUC robot experience including KAREL or C++
