Network Security EngineerDenton, TX 76207 (Some Onsite Required)Contract OpportunityJob Description:This international industry leader has an immediate 12+ month contract opportunity in Denton, TX for a Network Security Engineer.This position requires working onsite 2-3 days a week. This position requires a solid Network Security background and hands-on experience with Firewalls, ZScaler, Fortinet, Bluecoat Proxies, etc. Will be part of the Infrastructure Services team which is responsible for providing 24x7 monitoring support and ensuring stability/reliability of the service.Contract Duration: 12+ Months (with strong chance for extension)Required Skills & Experience 3-4+ years of Network Security experience.Hands-on experience with Firewalls, ZScaler, Fortinet, Bluecoat Proxies, etc. Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, Cisco Routers, Cisco switches, Spanning Tree and VTP. Excellent understanding of Enterprise ITSM tools like ServiceNow. Knowledge of ITIL Process - Incident, Knowledge, Problem & Change Management. Excellent understanding of Dynamic Multipoint VPN, SD-WAN. Excellent knowledge on Cisco Firewalls, IDS, Firepower Management Console. Fortinet Fortigate firewalls and FortiManager. Good knowledge with Zscaler - Private and Internet access, Infoblox DHCP / DNS / IP management. Good knowledge on Wireless (IOS and AireOS) controllers and APs, Cisco ISE, Prime and DNAC. Incident response and resolution within SLAs with good analytical and basic troubleshooting skills. Work with telco providers to report network issues. Knowledge of any scripting language, preferably phyton will be a plus. Strong communication (both verbally and in writing) and interpersonal skills. Able to work on holidays. Good team player, actively participating and contributing toward achieving our mission successfully What You Will Be Doing Monitoring, operating and suggesting improvements opportunities on the day-to-day network operations with the different monitoring tools available. Resolving alerts and/or incidents received in ServiceNow. Performing initial troubleshooting, documenting cases and escalating if needed. Identifying and resolving predictive or proactive failures.
