Now, we're looking for a Cost Estimator to join our growing team and drive our success forward.What You'll Do:As a Cost Estimator you'll be responsible for analyzing engineering drawings and project specifications to calculate accurate costs for manufacturing aerospace electronic components. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals that support bids and contracts for our clients in the aerospace, defense, and medical sectors. This is your chance to make a direct impact on delivering competitive, profitable solutions.Responsibilities: Develop cost estimates for aerospace electronics manufacturing, including PCB builds, wire harnesses, ground testing cable assemblies, and finishing techniques.Break down project costs into detailed elements such as materials, labor, tooling, and subcontractor services.Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors during the RFQ (Request for Quote) process to ensure everyone understands the manufacturing method and specifications.Review engineering drawings and technical documents to identify required materials and production timelines.Research and negotiate with vendors to source materials, components, and outside services.Calculate labor hours for each manufacturing phase, considering complexity, skill level, and production methods.Evaluate planning change requests for cost-reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.Assess project feasibility by analyzing cost constraints, delivery schedules, and technical challenges.Collaborate with Directors, engineering, and assembly teams to clarify design details and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.Maintain and update internal databases with accurate pricing for materials, labor, and subcontractor services.Enter RFQs into the ERP system (NetSuite) and manage the quote log.Perform other tasks as assigned to support continuous process improvement.What We're Looking For:US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.5+ years of experience in producing cost estimates for aerospace electronics manufacturing (PCB builds, wire harnesses, cable assembly, and finishing techniques).Associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields is preferred.Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.Familiarity with AS9100 standards and ITAR compliance requirements.Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is a plus.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.Proficient with cost-estimating software and tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate cost options and improve processes.Effective communication and negotiation skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques is preferred.Experience in developing and documenting procedures for improved workflows.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
