Revenue Recovery Specialist

The Revenue Recovery Specialist is responsible for managing and resolving credit balances for a large client base spanning multiple states. This involves a variety of tasks related to insurance reimbursement, patient accounts, and regulatory compliance. This role requires the ability to handle a high volume of accounts, navigate complex reimbursement guidelines, and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.Revenue Recovery Specialist Responsibilities:Manage a substantial inventory of credit balances, ensuring timely and accurate resolutionResearch and resolve overpayments from insurance companies, third-party payers, and patientsIndependently coordinate benefits verification and reimbursement processes, utilizing online portals and other resourcesInterpret and apply client-specific policies and procedures regarding refunds and adjustmentsAdhere to CMS and state-specific guidelines for benefit coordination and recoupmentAnalyze and respond to overpayment requests from third parties, legal entities, and insurance companies, verifying the validity of refund requestsMaintain accurate records of all actions taken and ensure compliance with relevant regulationsCollaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex billing issuesContribute to process improvements and identify opportunities for increased efficiencyDemonstrate adaptability and flexibility in handling diverse responsibilitiesRevenue Recovery Specialist Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferredDemonstrated experience in healthcare billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle managementFamiliarity with insurance reimbursement processes, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payersExperience with patient account management and credit balance resolution is highly desirableStrong understanding of medical terminology and basic coding principlesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skillsAbility to interpret and apply complex regulations and guidelinesExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency with healthcare billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment If you have the required experience, we invite you to apply today!
