On-Site Safety Specialist

Job Description:Please read qualifications! No Per Diem - Must have specific CONSTRUCTION safety experience.We are seeking a Safety Professional to join our team. The specific position available will be onsite at one location in the Kansas City metro area. (50 - 60 hours per week) The Safety Professional will be responsible for training, hazard identification, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction safety programs and implementing safety policies in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Implement safety policies and proceduresConduct risk assessments and hazard identificationDevelop and deliver safety training programsInvestigate accidents and incidents, and develop corrective actionsEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirementsImplement emergency response plansCoordinate with other departments to ensure safety requirements are metKeep up-to-date with industry standards and best practicesQualifications:Possess a valid OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 designation and/or;Possess an academic degree in Occupational Health and Safety and/or;Possess a valid certificate as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).Minimum of 3 years of experience as a safety professional in CONSTRUCTIONKnowledge of federal and state safety regulationsStrong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExperience in mega construction projects is a plus.
