OVERVIEWThis key Engineering talent oversees electrical infrastructure projects and guiding local employees on maintenance and inspection routines across ASR North American sites. Primary responsibilities include providing guidance on routine inspection and maintenance of 4160V/480V power distribution systems, tracking progress against completion schedules, and the development & execution plan for large scale capital projects.The ideal candidate has experience as a field technician working with 4160V and 480V switchgear and experience delivering capital projects on similar equipment. This person will support all five North American refineries, ensuring consistent practices are being executed across the group.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESAct as subject matter expert on electrical engineering driving execution approach. Set best practices across the enterprise and develop plans for implementation of these as identifiedManages project coordination, prioritization and adherence to construction means and methods, assure execution of engineering and Food Safety design standardsAssist the refineries in application of switchgear maintenance plansDevelop inspection and maintenance standards in accordance with NFPA 70BGuide the local plant EEs to develop achievable schedulesWitness sample inspections & maintenance to ensure quality controlLog equipment inspection completion dates for corporate auditing purposesProvide site Operations with guidance on long-term capital investment needs and perform gap analysisPrioritize projects and develop schedules across multiple sitesDevelop SOWs for project and maintenance workHold project design reviews with engineering and operations partnersLiaise with Procurement on contractor recommendation, lead bid-walks, review proposals, and provide input into contract awardEnsure contractors work in accordance with all safety requirements and meet electrical and food manufacturing installation standardsServe as community of practice lead. Mentor plant Electrical EngineersLeverages skills and influence to deliver best value solutions and fit for purpose applicationCollaborate with Subject Matter Experts - Safety, Quality, and Operations to assure full cross functional partner's alignmentAbility to travel up to 50% of the time. 25% typical.WORK EXPERIENCES5+ years' experience working with 4160V/480V power distribution systems requiredPrevious experience inspecting and maintaining switchgear requiredRelay management experience a plusPower generation experience preferredPrior demonstrated experience as project manager on capital projects up to $1mm preferredPrevious experience with food manufacturing companies preferredEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required from an ABET accredited universityESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)Detailed knowledge of power distribution systems required, knowledge of PLCs and automation preferredStrong problem-solving and technical skillsStrong people skills with the ability to influence others on electrical infrastructureProficient level project management skills: PMP or equivalent experience preferredMust be willing and able to travel to other manufacturing sites within North America, vendor facilities, construction sites, etc.LOCATION OF ROLESubstantial travel is required - the ideal candidate would live in proximity to an airport hubRemote - Atlanta, Houston, or based in Corporate office in West Palm Beach
