We are dedicated to our audience, and we believe that strong brands and high-quality programming create an unparalleled fan experience across the Great American Media portfolio.Ideal candidates will be able to work onsite at our our Texas Headquarters in Arlington, TX.Job PurposeThe Senior Manager of Technology Operations will oversee the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and security of the company's information systems and processes including computer, communication, and office systems. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about applying their skills to technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions for Great American Media. The Senior Manager of Technology Operations will execute business and technology initiatives at the direction of the executive leadership team and must be available outside of standard business hours based on business needs.Duties and ResponsibilitiesHandle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in a global marketplace, even outside of standard business hours (e.g. evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.).Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative.Enable faster and smarter IT business processes, and implement analytics for meaningful insights.Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.Directs and coordinates professional services such as systems analysis and design, feasibility studies, and programming of information, communication, and office automation systems.Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; reviews requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.Approves the purchase, rent, lease, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs.Monitors and reports progress on development projects, resource utilization, and production performance to executive leadership.Ensures the integrity and reliability of computerized information systems, communication systems, and office systems including the security of data acquired and stored.Facilitates preparation of project plans and proposals, outlining project objectives, IS requirements, and analytical and programming staffing requirements for proposed systems.Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of IS staff, equipment, and procedures.Prepares, implements, and executes IS budget.Interact with the multiple layers in organization to troubleshoot, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.Maintain service desk ticketing system and departmental knowledgebase.Maintain relationships with key vendors to procure new hardware, software, and services.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsMust be willing to work outside of standard business hours based on business needs (evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.).Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science.Minimum of five-years work experience as a leader in a corporate IT environment, or as leader for a managed service provider.Project management planning, scheduling, resource management across projects and daily IT services.Hiring, training and development of personnel with technical backgrounds.Manage, measure and assess IT service levels for internal IT operations, and managed service providers.Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching.Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex systems.Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.Excellent organizational and leadership skills.Outstanding communication abilities.Preferred Technology ExperienceAdobe Creative Suite, Telestream, AWS Media Tools, and other video centric tool sets.On Prem and Cloud Based storage arrays (45 Drives, Lucid Link, etc).Amazon AWS (S3, EC2, SQS, SNS, CloudFront).Integration platform as a service solutions, business process automation.Microsoft Active Directory (Azure Active Directory).Cisco / Meraki core and edge switch platforms, wireless networks.Microsoft / Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Teams).Zoom VoIP Communications Platform.VMWare, Microsoft Windows Server, CentOS operating systems.Apple OS X, iOS.Storage network experience, preferably 500 plus TB.Backup and recovery solutions.Direct ReportsIT team including Senior Systems Administrators and Desktop Support Specialists located across Great American Media offices.Working ConditionsThis position is in an office environment and will require some travel.Physical RequirementsTo meet the essential requirements of this position, you must be able to:Sit for long periods of time; more than 30 minutesStand for long periods of time; more than 30 minutesType and complete other meticulous tasksBend and reachLift up to 15 pounds at a timeCompensation, Benefits and Application ProcessCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience.
