The HR Business Partner will serve as a critical business partner to the Operations/Distribution Center (DC). This role encompasses managing day-to-day HR functions, including employee relations (ER), payroll, compliance, training facilitation, talent acquisition, and engagement program execution. This position also assists with overall HR projects as needed to support the larger HR function. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 10am - 7pm.The HR Business Partner reports directly to the HR Director and must ensure alignment with the HR Director's strategic goals while serving as the key liaison between DC leadership and the HR team.This position addresses all DC-HR matters and requires experience and understanding of operational workflows, warehouse dynamics, and the ability to align HR practices with operational priorities.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:HR Partnership with DC Operations:Act as the primary HR representative for the Distribution Center team, ensuring alignment between HR and DC operations.Provide proactive and responsive support for DC-specific HR needs, including recruitment, onboarding, personnel and workforce planning.Partner closely with DC leadership to understand and align HR practices with warehouse operations, logistics workflows, and operational priorities.Ensure alignment between DC HR initiatives and organizational HR goals by maintaining close communication and coordination with the HR Director.Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:Lead recruitment efforts for DC roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires.Collaborate with DC leadership to forecast staffing needs and manage hiring timelines to ensure proper labor coverage for shifts and peak seasons.Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.Payroll and CommunicationsManage and update time and attendance system, overseeing payroll hours, communication logs, and system data to ensure accuracy and compliance.Serve as the liaison between the DC team and HR for payroll and benefits inquiries.Employee Relations (ER)Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.Foster a positive work environment and promote company values among employees.Ensure all employees issues are addressed in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable labor laws.Warehouse-Specific SupportAddress workforce needs related to shift schedules, labor management, and operational efficiency.Support health and safety initiatives specific to warehouse operations, including training and compliance tracking.Policy Compliance and CertificationEnsure adherence to company protocols and policies within the DC.Maintain and enforce Distribution Center-specific certifications and compliance requirements, including controlled substances handling.Training FacilitationDevelop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, compliance awareness, and overall performance.Track and report on training completion and effectiveness.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance and oversight to team leads or supervisors within the DC as needed.Support leadership development initiatives and performance management processes.Coordination and EngagementPlan and coordinate meetings between the DC and HR to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.Drive employee engagement programs tailored to the DC team's unique needs and challenges.Process ImprovementCollaborate with DC leadership to streamline HR processes that impact operations, such as hiring for shift work, managing attendance, and responding to operational changes.Reporting and AnalysisGenerate and analyze HR reports to support decision-making and provide insights into DC workforce metrics.Present findings and recommendations to the leadership team.HR Project Support:Support overall HR projects as needed, collaborating with HR leadership on company-wide initiatives and strategic HR goals.Stay informed of HR trends, compliance updates, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in HR processes and support.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years in an HR role, preferably within a warehouse or operations environment.Experience with controlled substances and related compliance requirements is strongly preferred.Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.Background in employee relations and engagement program implementation.Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not required.Skills:Strong knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Proficiency in facilitating training and workshops.Familiarity with DC protocols, policies, and certifications.Demonstrated understanding of warehouse workflows, labor scheduling, and inventory systems.Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams and functions.
