Deputy General Counsel - Healthcare Transactions

One of the top ten Health Systems in the country by net patient revenue is looking to bring on a Counsel focused on Transactions at the Associate CLO level. This Health System is currently undergoing a massive expansion in their Midwest and Southwest regions, and this position is part of a corporate buildout for their Missouri and Texas locations. In this role, you will act as the second-in-command to the regional Chief Legal Officer and oversee all Transactions for new and existing locations in the Midwest and Southwest.Responsibilities:Advise M&A, Joint Ventures, Corporate Governance, and due diligence for all matters related to the Health System's growth plans.Familiarity with healthcare regulations (AKS, Stark Law, HIPAA, the False Claims Act, Medicare, etc.)Familiarity with hospital operations matters (medical staffing matters, licensing and accreditation, matters related to the CMS and Joint Commission, etc.)Oversee drafting of transactional documents, bylaws, contracts, etc.Requirements:JD from an accredited law school.6+ years of experience with strategic transactions within a Health System or a Healthcare practice group.Barred in good standing in the state of Kansas.This position is on-site in Merriam, Kansas.
