Portal is a start-up cell engineering platform company focused on enabling next generation cell engineering and cell analytics across research and clinical applications. We are implementing a simplified approach to intracellular delivery, focused on accelerating advances enabled by the new generation of RNA, gene editing, and AI-driven technologies. Our initial product suite is based on a proprietary mechanical delivery system capable of delivering many different types of cargo to a broad range of cell types. Our technology's ability to be used stand-alone or as an integrated component of third-party systems provides a significant opportunity to broadly impact the fields of biological research and cellular therapeutics. The Chief of Staff to the CEO is a high-visibility strategic and operational partner that leads the coordination and strategic alignment of diverse business activities - both internal and external facing. You will be our agile team member that helps across projects and activities. Some will be more routine, like scheduling and coordination. Others will be more strategic and challenging like understanding new markets and application spaces, preparing board slides, doing strategic analysis, or handling projects that would have otherwise had to be done by one of the senior executives. It is a front seat to all the action in getting a startup off the ground and a terrific opportunity to leverage the successful candidate's broad visibility into the organization to identify challenges, develop solutions, and be an integral part of executing critical workflows. How you'll make an impact:Drive Strategic Initiatives and Executive Support: Take charge of high-level projects traditionally managed by senior executives. Your proactive approach in steering these initiatives will significantly enhance organizational effectiveness and decision-making processes. This will allow leadership to focus more intently on overarching strategic goals.Optimize Operational Efficiency: Actively streamline administrative tasks and coordination efforts. By improving these workflows, you will play a key role in boosting the overall efficiency of our operations, allowing the team to dedicate more resources to core business functions.Lead Diverse Project Management with Versatility: Approach a wide array of projects, from simple administrative duties to complex organizational tasks, with agility and foresight. Your engagement in these varied responsibilities not only contributes significantly to our growth but also enriches your professional skill set.Cultivate Leadership and Organizational Insight: Capitalize on the unique opportunity to observe and participate in board and executive-level activities. This exposure will deepen your understanding of high-level operations and strategic decision-making, positioning you as a key influencer in shaping the company's future and enhancing your leadership capabilities.Your experience & qualifications:Must-Haves:Professional Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Prior exposure to project management, strategic planning, or executive support roles is highly desirable.Educational Background: A degree in science, engineering, or an MBA. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of our work and contributing effectively to our strategic initiatives.Location: Willingness to live within a commutable distance from Boston.
