This is a full-time opportunity that takes place on a rotating shift schedule in person in the Bronx, NY.The sole responsibility of this position is to support NYC's energy systems to maintain the integrity and safety of gas transmission and distribution systems year round. This is a 24/7 operation using internal systems to read and monitor field values (pressure, temperature, flow, etc) to ensure the system is properly maintained and to make any adjustments as needed to mitigate and prevent emergencies. This will be done by communicating with field crews to evaluate and advise on best courses of corrective action. The initial 4-6 months of this position will be revolved around a robust, hands-on training program regarding industry knowledge and best practices when advising field crews. To be considered as qualified for this position, the ideal candidate will need to be highly motivated to learn, able to work across cross-functional teams, and demonstrate independent decision making.
