Job Title: Property Assistant (Residential Apartments)Location: Rohnert Park/Santa Rosa, CAEmployment Type: Full-TimePay Rate: $25/hrJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Property Assistant to support the Property Manager in ensuring resident satisfaction and retention across apartment complexes in Rohnert Park/Santa Rosa, CA. This role involves maintaining excellent resident relations, assisting with lease renewals, responding to inquiries regarding maintenance, rent payments, and coordinating move-ins and move-outs.ResponsibilitiesConduct all business in compliance with company policies, Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all applicable federal, state, and local residential rental laws.Serve as the primary contact for tenant communication, responding promptly to inquiries and concerns.Maintain and update property management software with records of maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution within budgeted costs.Assist the Property Manager with lease renewals, preparing necessary documentation and communicating with tenants.Coordinate and oversee the Move-In and Move-Out process, ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations.Prepare Notices and routine correspondence as directed by the Property Manager.Respond to and follow up with prospective residents regarding available units.Communicate with residents throughout the rent collection process, including reminders and follow-ups.Assist in preparing Security Deposit Disposition documents, ensuring compliance with state laws.Prepare and review leases, ensuring all necessary addendums and attachments are included before presenting them for tenant signatures.Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant records and property documentation in the property management software.Ensure all communication is documented to maintain transparency and coordination among team members.RequirementsResidential property management experience preferred (not commercial).Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong written and verbal communication skills for handling resident interactions.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and rental regulations (local, state, and federal).California Real Estate License preferred but not required.If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for property management and resident satisfaction, we encourage you to apply!
