The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting with overseeing and directing all construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.Commercial ConstructionWhat you will do:As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the project team while maintaining proactive relationships with the project's stakeholders. The Project Engineer will assist with monitoring all activities of the project. The Project Engineer acts as a liaison between the Project Manager and the Project Superintendent to help ensure that the goals of the project are met. Your duties will include but not limited to the following:· Train to become a Project Manager.· Meeting agendas and compiling meeting minutes.· Subcontractor coordination & notifications.· Project startup.· Material acquisition.· Document management.· Monthly sub invoice approvals.· Processing & Tracking:o Pricingo ASIso PRso RFIs· Submittals:o Processingo Reviewingo Addressing comments · Learn to run projects on your own (work with Project Executive or Sr Project Manager):o Estimatingo Subcontract negationso Project managemento Draft subcontractso Draft sub & owner change orderso Review draft pay applications· Punch list administration.· Closeout documents.Requirements:· Willing to learn the construction process.· Driven to become a construction project manager.· Basic understanding of construction procedures as well as material and project management principles.· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.· Team player with leadership abilities.· Capable of operating construction/project management software.· Excellent communication skills.Candidate Details: Seniority Level - Mid-Senior Minimum Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent Willingness to Travel - Occasionally
