Quality Assurance ManagerDirect Hire Opening - with excellent benefits, 410k match, PTO, bonus etc.Location: Duluth, GA area Summary:We're seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and maintain our ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System (QMS). In this role, you will oversee supplier quality, product inspections, compliance, and process improvements to ensure our manufacturing operations meet the highest standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and leadership to drive a culture of quality excellence.Duties / Responsibilities:Quality Management & ComplianceDevelop, maintain, and enforce the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001Maintain material test reports (MTRs), certificates of conformance (COCs), and customer-required documentationOversee instrument testing and calibration programsSupplier & Material QualityLead the Supplier Management Program, ensuring supplier quality complianceWork with purchasing to qualify and manage suppliers, resolving quality issuesOversee incoming material inspections and manage outside processing (OP) inspectionsProduction Quality & Process ControlSupport production teams with quality assurance and process improvementsConduct in-process inspections including dimensional verification, weld inspections, and coating inspectionsPerform or oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) when requiredManage product testing, audits, and release approvalsLeadership & Continuous ImprovementManage and develop the Quality Assurance team, ensuring high performanceLead training and certification of QA personnel and facility weldersDrive continuous improvement initiatives for quality and process optimizationQualifications:BS in Engineering or other relevant technical degree OR equivalent work experience in manufacturing/metal fabricationHands-on experience with quality management systems in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of welding processes, coatings, and fabrication standardsTechnical Skills & Certifications (Preferred)CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) - AWS/ASMECQE (Certified Quality Engineer) - ASQ or equivalentLean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certificationKnowledge of ASTM, AWWA, and AWS/ASME welding codesExperience with liquid and powder coatingsSoft SkillsStrong problem-solving and leadership skillsAbility to work independently with initiative and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration skills across teamsWhy Join Us?Competitive salary and benefitsLeadership and Career growth opportunities in a leading manufacturing companyA culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence
