Job Summary:The Planner will be responsible for the complete financial management of the assigned area of responsibility, including the creation of financial and merchandise plans, actualizing results, and a keen ability to identify, communicate, and implement strategic business opportunities at the division, category, and season code levels. The Planner will regularly forecast sales, markdowns, and inventory levels, identify business risks, and develop action plans in cooperation with their merchandising partner to mitigate risks profitably.Key AccountabilitiesCreate monthly financial plans at division and category level for fiscal time periodsReforecast sales, gross margin, and inventory for fiscal time periodsRecap end of season performance at division, category, season, and style levels for merchandise buy periodConduct basic stock replenishment (order quantity by style, color, and size)Key item planning for all basic styles (sales, margin, inventory)Conduct daily, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal sales reportingManage inventory flow on fashion receiptsDevelop size curve and pre-pack definitionsPartner with merchant to support the buy processEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree3+ years of experience in retail planning and analysisSkills and Behaviors:Proven track record of financially astute business managementExpertise in retail math with strong analytical skills/ learning agilityStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to identify and clearly communicate business opportunities and risks/ analytical and data reasoningGood organization and workload prioritization skills/detail orientation and accuracyProficient in planning systems and Microsoft OfficeStrong team player/relationship-buildingProven process of improvement and problem-solving
