Assistant Designer - Cut and Sew

Major Label Group in NYC seeks an Assistant Designer to support their Childrenswear Sweater and Cut & Sew Division and Women's Cut & Sew Division.Responsibilities:Producing technical packages quickly, accurately, and with strong attention to detailCreating design sketches and CADS: Strong Adobe Illustrator skills are a MUSTTracking and following up on development samplesUpdating line sheets and tech packs with consistency and attention to detailCreating seasonal color cardsReviewing lab dips, quality submits, and protos.Designing prints, graphics, and novelty embellishments.Trend research and shopping, preparing for sales presentationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or Technical Fashion DesignExperience in Childrenswear (Sweater and Cut & Sew Knits), Experience in Womenswear (Cut & Sew Knits)2-4 years of proven experience in knitwear design, preferably within the mass or contemporary market segment.Strong portfolio showcasing technical proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.Experience with PLM systems: Be Product experience is a plus.In-depth knowledge of knitwear construction, yarns, stitches, and techniques, with a keen eye for detail and quality.Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Ability to seamlessly flex and pivot between multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Must have an eye for detail and the ability to anticipate technical design challenges before they occur.Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurancePaid PTO4 days in Office 1 day remote
