Observational Health Data Analyst:6-month contract with high possibility of extensionRemoteOur client is looking for an expert Observational Health Data Analyst to spearhead the analysis of all existing observational health data. This individual will be responsible for performing the characterization and quality analysis of data, utilizing statistical and database programming methodologies to answer key research questions. We are looking for this person to be a great team player, a self-starter, and a true problem solver.Responsibilities:Lead and organize programming and oversight activity for the analysis of observational health data, ensuring quality and timelinessDevelop and apply statistical methods to large-scale observational datasetsPerform statistical analysis utilizing various SQL and R proceduresUtilize statistical methodologies related to the use of real-world dataQualifications:Minimum of a Bachelors' Degree in Biostatistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Informatics, Computer Science, or related disciplines is required4 years of experience in statistical programming (R), or database programming (SQL) is required2 years of programming against large healthcare data sets is required2 years of relevant prior work experience in the healthcare industry within a pharmaceutical company, insurer, or within a health system is requiredExperience with the statistical analysis and management of administrative claims datasets or electronic health records Demonstrated experience working with large observational health databasesExcellent writing and communication skillsExperience working with OHDSI (Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics) programs and teams preferred
