Associate Attorney

Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking an associate for our Environmental Department with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in environmental compliance and litigation at federal, state, and local levels.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide compliance counseling to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.Develop strategies for site remediation cost recovery and manage related litigation.Conduct transactional due diligence to assess environmental liabilities.Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements with environmental considerations.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar (required) and New York State BarStrong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated experience representing clients before key regulatory bodies such as the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, EPA, NY Department of Environmental Conservation, and NY Department of HealthCommitment to maintaining the highest ethical standardsInterested applicants should send a resume and writing sample.
