A highly regarded law firm is seeking skilled applicants for an opening as a Legal Secretary in their Tysons Corner office. This is a temp-to-perm position, with individuals in this role coming into the Tysons Corner office 5 days per week. Preferred applicants will have several years of prior experience in a large law firm or prior experience working in immigration law. Temp-to-Perm -- roughly 8-12 week contractFlexible hourly contract pay -- permanent salary between $70-85k9:00am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)5 days per week on-sitePosition Summary:The Legal Support Specialist (Legal Secretary) position supports attorneys in a secretarial capacity. This role provides a wide range of administrative, clerical and document processing services in the Business Immigration Practice Group. Candidate should also be flexible to work overtime as needed.Duties & Responsibilities:Maintains legal files (both paper & electronic), organizes and files documents in designated order, as well as prepares, keyboards, enters, proofreads and processes legal and administrative correspondenceProcesses time entry, opens new matters, drafts engagement letters and audits responses, makes travel arrangements, processes reimbursement expenses, maintains calendar, collates information, writes reports, prepares agendas, reviews and prepares of billing invoices, and other administrative duties, as needed by the departmentManages phone lines for supported attorneys, fields calls and conveys messages as necessaryCommunicates with clients and agenciesUpdates information and uploads documents into an immigration case management systemManages document deliveries and tracks final executed documentationAssists with overflow work and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assignedSkills & Competencies:Strong ability to maintain high standards, use good judgment and seek out ways to contribute and anticipate needsStrong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage time effectivelyExcellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well in a teamPosition also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlinesQualifications & Prior Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferredMinimum 5 years of experience working in an Immigration law practice strongly preferredComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document management and other office technologiesPrevious experience with INSZoom is a plusExceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quicklyLawyers On Demand/Consilio offers non-attorney flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, the candidate's general skill set, the applicability of candidate's skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
