The primary area of focus and strategy for this plan is revenue growth through our annual giving from individual donors. The role of Manager, Donor Engagement, will be the first of its kind, with a focus on building a revenue stream of donors that can give in the range of $1,000-$10,0000. They will manage the process of identifying, qualifying, and personally soliciting and cultivating a portfolio of donors who have the capacity to give at that level, or more through Annual Giving. They will work closely with colleagues from other teams to coordinate prospect management activity. The role will require the candidate to meet with donors throughout the state for meetings and will also require them to work nights and weekends. This position is responsible for assisting the entire department and CEO in reaching the annual revenue goals within this new strategic plan.Key Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of individual donors, cultivate relationships, solicit gifts, and steward recurring donorsImplement a plan that cultivates, solicits, acknowledges, and stewards donors to maximize retention and increase overall givingConduct donor research on existing and new potential donorsHelp develop and implement plan for donor communications and stewardship of all donor segments including annual giving, mid-level, and special event supportersWork in collaboration with the Director of Development to establish short- and long-term annual giving goals, objectives, and metrics for successAssists in a full range of activities associated with individual donors to include solicitations, stewardship, recognition events and cultivation activities: Communication process to promote giving to SOMA, meet with donors and prospects at Special Olympics events and networking events, conduct a minimum number of visits and meetings and manage all activities in CRMBuild deep, powerful, and dynamic relationships with current and prospective donors, focused on developing their passions and fulfilling on their expectations of experience and impactAbility to meet donors throughout the state for meetings and at events, that will be during the week, evenings and/or weekendsApply a data-driven approach to set and achieve revenue and relationship goals for the organization, seeing them as opportunities to sell the mission, strengthen communities and partnerships.Represent and speak on behalf of Special Olympics Massachusetts at various events, conferences, and meetings.Be ready, willing, and able to take on other duties as assigned.Skills and Background Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related fieldMinimum of 3 to 5 years in non-profit fundraising/development, experience working with donors, or similar for-profit client and partner services role.
