This role ensures that HR policies are followed and provides guidance on all HR-related matters.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and effective integration.Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers with HR-related inquiriesAddress employee concerns and resolve conflicts by providing mediation and ensuring a positive work environmentPromote employee engagement initiatives, including feedback surveys, employee recognition, and team-building activitiesEnsure HR policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.)Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigationsConducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verificationsPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and trainingHandles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staffMaintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and industry trends to keep the organization compliantManage employee files and records, ensuring proper documentation and confidentialityAssist employees with benefits-related questions and claims processingAssist in developing, updating, and communicating HR policies and proceduresEnsure consistency and fairness in the application of HR policies across the organizationParticipate in HR strategy meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processesUpdate the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) with employee data and track HR metricsGenerate reports on HR data, such as turnover rates, headcount, diversity, and compensation analyticsProvide analysis and recommendations based on HR metrics and trendsPerforms other duties as assignedMust Haves:Bilingual in English/Spanish Union experience 2-5 years of HR Generalist experience Bachelor's DegreePass Background Check (Criminal- State/National, Education Verification, Credit Check) and Drug ScreenProficient in understanding DMV area for employment, detail-oriented and able to work under pressureProficient with HRIS (Paycom) and Mac products, and a strong understanding of HR policies, including FMLA, EEOC, and OSHA.HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus Additional Details:Direct Hire roleHybrid scheduleSalary expectation $70,000-$80,000K Start ASAP40 HR work weekAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
