Experience: BS Electrical Engineer with 2-5 years of experience from the Chemical Process or related industries. Looking for someone knowledgeable wuth Instrumentation and control loops with some knowledge of power 120v or more. Six Sigma is desired. This person will work at this 110 person plant doing I&E projects to improve their process. A local candidate or someone who has ties to the area is highly desired. Below is my clients Job Description and SummaryMy Client has an E&I Improvement Engineer their Plaquemine, LA location. This role is most suited for someone that demonstrates competency in specific technology areas or applications, using expertise to develop value-creating solutions for project teams and stakeholders. Manages more than one project assigned by supervision, has the responsibility for the experimental aspects of the project. and provides high quality data; recognizes and finds ways to improve the quality of the experimental/work of the team, delivering quality results and solutions to complex problems; plans, schedules and determines resources to drive results to meet objectives; seeks and implements new ideas to solve problems and make innovative contributions.Support overall unit electrical power and instrument systems and management of change.Assist operations and maintenance to troubleshoot instrument and electrical problems.Execute Change of Design's (COD) and complete design to implement identified improvements correctly and safely.Act as main I&E liaison with Engineering Contractor for all projects to ensure site policies, procedures, standards and specifications are met.Write or approve project scopes.Mark and approve all I&E drawings.Establish and maintain installation details and standards.Represent business unit at Process Hazard Analysis and set standards for implementing DX3S standards.Participate as active member of unit technology team to develop and implement long range plans for instrument and electrical.Provide instrument and electrical checkout and start-up support of facilities to meet production and business needs.Guide and train area personnel on instrument and electrical technologies to assist reliability effort.Create and maintain related documentation, files, procedures, databases, drawings, and schematics to ensure integrity of unit instrument and electrical technologies.Participate on related networks and user groups to leverage learnings across the organization. Act as primary contact with Alabama Power to address contract, reliability, and technical issues. Provide overall technical guidance to Electrical Specialists and I&E Area Resources on electrical and power distribution issues to ensure site electrical needs are met.Support site on electrical classification analysis.Support, maintain, and improve site electrical distribution systems to include Motor Control Centers, Transformers, and other medium voltage applications (480V).Provide technical support for PLC and VFD repairs and upgrades.Perform job duties in a manner that follow food safety and quality guidelines including but not limited to HACCP, GMPs, QA Policies, Sanitation, and Pest Control.Will be the stie Electrical safety focal point for the site.Job requirements:B.S. Electrical Engineering2 years of manufacturing plant experience (Chemical Plant Preferred). Demonstrated ability to design, troubleshoot and support area electrical & instrument systems and infrastructure.Excellent communications/interpersonal skills to allow productive collaborative relationships with varying levels of organization from technicians to management.Demonstrated strengths in getting results, meeting commitments & problem-solving skills.Demonstrated knowledge of I&E drawings including electrical schematics, loops, logic diagrams, and P&I diagrams with documentation.Demonstrated knowledge of electrical principles, technologies, codes, and standards.Demonstrated knowledge Electrical distribution and power systems experience required for this position include Motor Control Centers, Drives, Inverters, and other related 480V systems.
