Systems Engineer - Linux (TS/SCI w/ CI or FS Poly required)Herndon, VA - Onsite5%-10% International travel to OCONUS locationsFull-Time/Direct Hire Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team supporting on-site national security missions. In this role, you will contribute to Systems Design & Architecture, Integration & Testing, Data Analysis, and Capability Development. You will engage in systems planning, installation, commissioning, site surveys, and troubleshooting to deliver tailored solutions for critical missions. Working as part of a U.S.-based operations team, you will provide technical guidance and collaborate with international developers and engineers. You will play a key role in ensuring system efficiency and operational effectiveness while addressing complex challenges to meet customer needs. Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain technical equipment, including servers and virtual systems.Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, run diagnostics, and document resolutions.Assist in designing and developing internal solutions to meet customer requirements.Test and implement process automation systems to optimize operational performance.Support and perform site surveys, system commissioning, and maintenance tasks. Required Experience/SkillsActive TS/SCI with CI or FS Poly.CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent DoD IAT II certification.3-5+ years of Linux/UNIX system administration experience.2+ years of experience in systems design & architecture, integration & testing, data analysis, or capability development.Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues. Preferred Experience/Skills:Understanding of mobile telecom network architectures and related hardware, software, and protocols.Experience working directly with the development team to resolve software and hardware problems and applying software and hardware patches.Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, NAT, routing and switching.Experience with analyzing logs, stack traces, debug libraries, software/hardware.Possesses an understanding of Python, Bash, SQL databases.Create installation guides and as-built documentation.Experience with Linux firewall and VPN configuration Pay Summary:Salary up to $160,000/yr, depending on experience.Join this growing and expanding company as they break into new markets!Linux (RHEL/CentOS) | TS/SCI | Mobile Telecom Network Architecture | Linux Firewall
