Estimator - Whippany, NJ / Hybrid - Base salary $75-90k+ A well established HVAC services company in Whippany, NJ is looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join their growing team. This person is responsible for estimating HVAC and process cooling service, repair, and replacement projects for sophisticated mechanical systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional environments. The ideal candidate combines mechanical estimating expertise, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of mission-critical HVAC system requirements.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop detailed estimates for equipment replacements, retrofits, system upgrades, and specialized HVAC and process cooling projectsWork collaboratively with sales, service, and engineering teams to ensure projects are executed according to specifications and within budgetConduct site surveys to gather critical project informationCoordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing while maintaining quality standardsMaintain ongoing communication to ensure consistent satisfaction for evolving needsHelp ensure timely and budget-conscious project deliveryOther duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC and process cooling estimating experienceStrong knowledge of estimates and developing and presenting quotations for repairs, testing, inspections, installations, and preventive maintenance plansStrong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and installation requirementsProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlinesProficiency with estimating software and Microsoft OfficeExcellent analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail~75% travel/on the road, 25% onsite in Whippany, NJCoWorx is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive team.
