Reporting to the Marketing and Business Development Director, this leadership role will be pivotal in elevating EHDD's brand, managing strategic communications, and positioning the firm as a thought leader and trusted partner in the A/E/C industry. A significant aspect of this role will involve graphic branding, visual storytelling, and crafting a compelling narrative that reflects EHDD's mission and differentiates the firm in the marketplace.Key Responsibilities Strategic Brand Leadership: Shape and steward EHDD's brand identity, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging and visuals across all touchpoints. Develop strategies to amplify the firm's reputation, leveraging storytelling, thought leadership, graphic design, and public relations.Content Strategy and Development: Oversee the creation of original, high-quality content"”from thought leadership articles and blog posts to media pieces and digital campaigns"”that reflect EHDD's expertise and values. Ensure the narrative and visual elements are cohesive and impactful.Visual Branding and Design: Lead the development and implementation of EHDD's visual branding guidelines to ensure consistency and elevate the firm's identity. Collaborate with internal and external designers to produce high-quality graphics, presentations, and marketing collateral.Digital and Social Media Strategy: Lead the firm's digital presence, including social media platforms, website evolution and management, and digital campaigns. Craft innovative strategies to engage target audiences and enhance visibility.Communications Oversight: Partner with the Marketing and Business Development Director to execute and refine EHDD's communications strategy. Lead media relations, press releases, award submissions, and event strategies to align with EHDD's goals.Client and Business Development Support: Provide strategic insights to support client development initiatives by preparing outreach materials and developing positioning strategies.Internal Alignment: Foster alignment between internal communications and the firm's mission and values, enhancing collaboration across teams and offices.Support the firm's mission and core values.Desired Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in a marketing or communications leadership role, preferably within the A/E/C industry.Proven expertise in branding, strategic communications, and visual storytelling.Demonstrated experience with proposal management and the RFP/RFQ process, with a track record of winning pursuits in the A/E/C sector.Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, supported by a strong narrative and visual work portfolio.Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office.Strong organizational and project management skills with experience using tools like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Asana, and Smartsheet.Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Desired QualitiesStrategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building.Collaborative leader who inspires and motivates teams to achieve shared goals.Proactive and adaptable, with a solution-oriented mindset.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.This is a full-time position with the expectation of being in the office four days a week, preferably based in San Francisco. Candidates MUST have some experience in the A/E/C industry.The base salary is one component of EHDD's competitive compensation package. We consider a variety of factors, including skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity, and geographic location in determining the salary offered. Employees are eligible for additional rewards, including salary increases and annual bonuses based on individual performance.
