Services include: Engineering - Benchmarking, ASHRAE Level 1, 2 & 3 energy audits, and retro-commissioningEnergy project implementationOn-going data analytics and fault detection and diagnosis (FDD). Position DescriptionWe are currently looking for a driven Assistant Project Engineer. The successful candidate will:Want to be on the leading part of the solution to the climate crisisHave an exceptional aptitude for problem solving Love working in a small team and taking on big responsibilityWant to stretch themselvesHave excellent time and project management skills As part of our team, you will be exposed to the full range of energy upgrade projects. Projects range from $50,000 to $3 million and the successful candidate will play a key role in multiple projects from start to finish. General responsibilities include meeting with clients and working with the engineering team to uncover and design high value energy efficiency measures, and then implement them on-time and under budget. Projects include lighting, HVAC, controls, and building envelope upgrades. Much of our work is in the San Francisco Bay area. Travel needs will range from 30%-50%.ResponsibilitiesYour top priorities as an Assistant Project Manager are to help the team and support our mission to deliver projects:On time On budgetTo a happy clientOther duties include:Engineering assistanceVisit commercial buildings and document existing conditionsWork with the engineering team to: -Determine best energy upgrades given client goals -Prepare documents for bid -Recommend energy upgrade technologiesConduct bid analysis for subcontracted scopesPrepare proposals including detailed costs estimates, scope of work, and value propositionProject Management assistancePlan and schedule the work Generate contractsTrack and report progress onsiteRecognize, document, and communicate all scope and cost changesWork with subcontractors to implement the energy upgradesWork with in-house engineering team to adapt to field conditions and ensure energy saving targets are met or exceeded. You will bridge the gap between engineering and customer supportEnsure the financial health of the projectClearly and effectively communicate with the team and clientManage the completion of the projectRequirementsA Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field Prior work experienceA drive to eradicate energy waste in buildings and plantsWell-honed attention to detail and problem-solving skillsSelf-directed and can manage multiple projects and prioritize time and resources accordinglyAbility to work with our team, sometimes under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong ability to communicate to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders verbally and in writing Provide superior, friendly serviceClean DMV recordHighly proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft ProjectAvailable for nationwide travelBonus qualifications:Engineering backgroundExperience with Retro-commissioning (RCx) and/or RCx implementationControl programmingKnowledge of facilities maintenance procedures, and standardsNetworking knowledgeWe offer meaningful work, competitive compensation and benefit packages, including: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible spending account, paid holidays, and paid time off.
