Reporting directly to the Community and Individual Relations Manager, the Development Assistant plays an important role in the stewardship of individual donors by updating and maintaining the agency's donor database and assisting with events, mailings and other donor engagement.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for data input, maintenance, and integration of several constituent lists in our agency database (CRM). Strong data-entry skills and a passion for working with databases is a must!Generate donation receipts/acknowledgment lettersConduct donation reconciliation with the Finance Department. Work with the Finance department to accurately capture and track gifts and the team's progress towards fundraising goals across all revenue streams.Create and disseminate fundraising reports as neededCreate or support content for newsletters, social media, and email campaigns to engage donors and promote fundraising initiatives.Other administrative support duties for the Development team, as may be neededAssist with recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers for events and campaigns.Under the strategic direction of the Community and Individual Relations Manager, support logistics for fundraising and cultivation events, including liaising and soliciting vendors, tracking donations and RSVPs, organizing auction items and activities, event follow-ups and thank yous, etc.Qualifications Associate's degree or higher requiredRequired Skills1-2 years' work experience; nonprofit development experience is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to do a mail mergeExperience with DonorPerfect or a similar CRM fundraising database. Strong database skills are required.Preferred SkillsDetail-oriented and highly organizedAbility to prioritize while working on multiple projects simultaneously; able to meet deadlinesAbility to take direction wellSense of humor and a positive attitudeAbility to work as part of a team and independentlyPay range and compensation package Pay starts at $41,000 annually, but is commensurate with experience, skills and qualifications.
