Ohio Truck Sales is seeking a skilled and driven Reconditioning Manager to lead our semi-truck reconditioning process. In this role, you will oversee and mentor a talented team of three departments, ensuring we consistently meet or exceed monthly reconditioning goals through key performance indicators. You will also be responsible for maintaining the highest standards, ensuring that each truck meets our strict quality benchmarks and safety before delivery. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a positive, collaborative environment across three sub-departments, driving success through teamwork, clear communication, and a shared commitment to excellence.Key Responsibilities / Essential Job FunctionsLead and manage the truck reconditioning process through key performance indicatorsOversee (3) sub departments of Cosmetic, Mechanical and Detail reconditioning.Communicate monthly goals, progress, updates, etc. clearly and consistently to department leadersUrgently plan staffing and unit scheduling demands / changes with department leaders to consistently meet monthly unit goalsMentor and hold department leaders accountable through truck quality, KPI's and their team's morale. Ensure productivity and minimal downtime.Morning huddle with team leaders - Ensure accurate department schedules are posted every morning and the previous day's department goals are met.Uncover root causes of team's reconditioning performance and assist in ensuring proper action plans are developed and implemented to achieve company objectives.Accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators to drive performance.Work with department supervisors to manage their KPI's and uncover root issues in their departmentsManage reconditioning facility equipment, assets and maintenance schedules in company software.Always ensure facility cleanliness and organization, inside and outside.Document, update, continuous improvement of all reconditioning department processes.Keep process files in organized folders for the accessibility of all departments. Ensure all departments follow their processes. (FBA - Followed By ALL)Manage employee performance including training, performance management, and coachingProactively identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and growth initiativesChampion OTS' safety protocols and standards to provide a safe work environmentMaintain 5SCommunicate any problems or obstacles to senior managementWork with the Human Resources Director to establish policies, procedures, training, and programs to support the production team.Other duties as assignedRequired Education, Skills & AbilitiesExperience in Body Shop, Truck Repair, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field is a plus but not required3-5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacityDemonstrated knowledge of ERP systems and reportingAn open door and honest leadership style coupled with self-motivation and strategic thinking skills.Exceptional relationship-building skills at the group and individual level; able to gain the confidence and trust of others.Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels within the organization.Problem solving skills; ability to assess a situation, focus on the issues, and create multiple solutions to resolve the issues.A confident and secure interpersonal style, which will allow the incumbent to effectively set objectives and secure results, while working effectively in a team-based environment.
