Our client is a growing boutique Alternative Investment Firm, seeking to add an experienced VP add to their Corporate Strategy & Development team in NYC. The role focuses on analyzing & executing on major strategic, operational, and strategic growth opportunities and collaborating with Global Head with regards to solution oriented progress.Ideal individual should be well versed with effectively communicating firms' strategy and financial performance with fund investors. In this VP role you will be asked to manage a small team (1-3pp) so prior management experience is strongly preferred.Primary duties and responsibilitiesAs a strategic thinker, you will develop and implement financial plans that align with our business objectives, providing actionable insights to inform business decisionsSource and screen prospective investors and strategically partner with internal sales teamManage Client Service efforts by working strategically with internal and external team to accomplish goalTarget and nurture relationships with sophisticated institutional investors; pension funds, endowments, foundations and consultantsStrategic Planning: Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive growth and profitabilityDevelop strategic and analytical frameworks for investor relations and business development effortsDevelop dynamic model scenarios with senior management to analyze the financial implications of new investments, transactions, global macro events, and projection assumptions under different operating and working capital scenariosFormalize and implement a business plan and strategy to introduce firm to new investorsAttend meetings, industry events, and conferences with PM's to meet with potential investors and to represent the firmPrepare & present due diligence findings to investment committees, Senior Management and Firm Clients.Qualifications9+ years of experience, with at least 5 years of experience in sales, strategy consulting/ investment bank, or direct Hedge Fund Marketing/Investor Relations.Strong and well-developed analytic, problem-solving and quantitative skill, with exceptional attention to detailDigital savvy with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data to tell a relevant story. Must have an intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint. Tableau/SQL knowledge strongly preferredBA/BS degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field.Advanced degree (MBA) strongly preferredResults-orientation with an ability to take initiative, execute and complete deliverables in a timely mannerDeep understanding of Private Equity/Alternative Asset Management and/or Real Estate requiredStrong leadership potential, with excellent inter-personal skills and collaboration abilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization
