RPStaffing is conducting an immediate confidential direct-hire search for the Senior Brand and Communications Manager with a global nonprofit based in Fairfax, VA. This is a highly visible role with room for growth.Candidates must be currently living in the Washington DC areaJob TitleSenior Brand and Communications ManagerSearch StatusDirect HireWeekly Schedule/ HoursHybrid (1-3 days onsite per week), full time, Monday to FridayFLSA StatusExemptLocationFairfax, VAIn this position you will manage the brands, content strategies, digital communications, design and oversight of websites, e-newsletters, and briefings of a global non-profit organization and its affiliates. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, digital and social media strategies, enhancing the organization's social media presence, keeping up to date on various website design and content, and creating promotional materials and conference exhibits.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFormulate strategies to help build and sustain the brand.Manage communication strategies to ensure consistency of messaging in all digital and printed media (e-blasts, social, web, videos, promotional materials.)Develop and implement organizational social media strategies to engage target audiences, create awareness of the value of the certification and other products, validate the brand, and consistently articulate the mission and work of the organization.Manage Communications calendar in collaboration with Director of Certification and Customer Service on operational notices and with DPA, AMS on commemorative and social media posts with the final approval by CEO.Monitor consultant related online forums to respond to questions and enhance the organization's social presence.Manage the organizations and affiliated websites and continuously improve user experience for certificants, donors, and the public.Develop from concept to completion, an array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials for conferences, exhibits, etc.Develop promotional materials and ensure consistent brand voice and vision.Video production and editing.Ensure that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand.Draft media/press relationships and generate press releases.Prepare and distribute Briefings.Collaborate effectively across functional areas and departments to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational goals including recert reminder emails, communicating policy changes, etc.Manage vendor and consultant relationships related to social media, website, etc.Analyze data and report metrics.Manage all internal department relationships and project needs for the communications team.Perform other duties as assigned.Travel RequiredSome travel, including potentially international, evening and weekend work required.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesYou will supervise the Senior Communication & Certification CoordinatorQualificationsBachelor's degree required with at least five years of relevant experience in a non-profit environment.Ability to think strategically, proactively identify issues, and generate recommendations.Ability to respond proactively and effectively to emergent issues.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Superior project management skills and attention to detail.Proficiency with social media platforms and Constant Contact and keen interest in learning new tools.Experience managing and tracking marketing and promotional budget and expenses.Experience developing and implementing social media strategies to engage target audiences, create awareness and validate a brand.Proven, tactful and professional interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to work with individuals from broad geographical and cultural backgrounds.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sensitivity to cultural and geographical differences.Familiarity with the issues impacting certification communication is preferred.Excellent customer service skills inclusive of organizational internal customers.Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.Well-developed ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects effectively and professionally; adapt to change; prioritize shifting opportunities; handle challenges with professionalism in a fast-paced environment.Accept ownership and accountability for job responsibilities.Seek to enhance job knowledge through educational and professional development opportunities.Affinity to working in a team-based environment.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
