As a small but mighty startup in pre-launch status, they focus on authenticity, transparency, and sustainability, ensuring every product supports the journey to holistic wellness.Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and innovative Product Development Leader to lead our Research & Development (R&D) initiatives within the nutraceutical and wellness industry. This role will involve coordinating with contract manufacturers to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, as well as spearheading the creation of cutting-edge products that meet customer needs and market demands. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for wellness and a proven ability to manage the R&D process from ideation through production, while ensuring the highest product quality and consumer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities: Research & Development: Lead the development and refinement of supplement formulations across various delivery formats (e.g., capsules, gummies, etc.), ensuring they align with market trends and consumer needs.Stay ahead of market trends, emerging scientific studies, and consumer preferences to create innovative products that push the boundaries of the wellness industry.Coordinate with third-party manufacturers to assess formulation feasibility and performance, ensuring products are manufacturable at scale.Ingredient Assessment & Procurement Support: Evaluate and select raw materials for inclusion in formulations, ensuring ingredient quality, safety, and efficacy.Collaborate with ingredient suppliers to support the timely procurement of materials required for product development and production.Manufacturing Coordination: • Collaborate with contract manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges that may arise during the production process.Maintain clear and effective communication with manufacturing partners to ensure timely production of prototypes and finished products.Oversee third-party testing for potency, stability, and safety to ensure that all products meet industry regulatory standards and quality benchmarks.Ingredient Technology Monitoring: • Monitor advancements in ingredient technology, new delivery formats, and industry trends to drive continuous innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the market.Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in product development, R&D, or manufacturing coordination, ideally within the supplement or wellness industry.Skills: Strong expertise in formulation development across multiple product formats, including capsules, gummies, and other delivery systems.Proficient in managing third-party testing, with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements, including GMP, FDA, and other relevant guidelines.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot manufacturing or formulation challenges.Ability to interpret and leverage consumer feedback to improve product efficacy, quality, and customer satisfaction.Exceptional organizational, experimental design, and project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects concurrently.Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external manufacturers, and suppliers.Ability to clearly articulate technical and strategic information to both internal stakeholders and external partners.Education & Certifications: A master's or at least a bachelor's degree in biology, nutrition, Integrative Health, or a related field.Passion for wellness, holistic health, and natural supplements.
