AutoCAD, Microvellum EngineerFremont, CACompensation: $40-$55 (pending experience and capabilities)SUMMARY:The Engineering department comprises both Shop Drawing Engineers and Layout Engineers. We eventually want all Engineers to have the ability to provide a level of both, despite their primary roleRESPONSIBILITIES:Shop DrawingsCreating submittal shop drawings for items such as cabinetry, reception desks, wall paneling, door & frames, windows & other custom millwork itemsRead and interpret architectural drawingsMeet with PM & estimator to ensure concepts are within budgetCreate shop drawings within AutoCAD that are thought out and ready to go into productionWork with other members of the Engineering team on large projects to ensure job standards are maintainedPublishing shop drawing packages for digital submittalsLayoutCreating layout/ cut tags for the shop to produce, machine & build fromTaking items from shop drawings to 100% buildable work ordersCreating cut-list through MicrovellumOne-off custom CNC programs through AlphacamCoordinate with the shop during production as neededSKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:Minimum 2 years' experience with Microvellum or AutoCADAn understanding of cabinet constructionAn understanding of how to read Architectural drawingsExperience with Alphcam is a plusABOUT:One of the Bay Area's leading Architectural Millwork & Cabinetry Companies; proudly recognized by the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley Business journal as a Best Place to Work company in 2020!
