Senior Associate Attorney -Real Estate

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Associate to be based in either our NY or Purchase, NY office. This Attorney will work in our Agency Lending Practice Group, which is responsible for the origination and servicing of multifamily loans securitized with Fannie and Freddie Mac lending platforms. Job responsibilities will include:Assisting other attorneys and acting as lender's counsel in all aspects of pre-closing and closings, including due diligence and correspondence with title companies, surveyors, borrower's counsel, and clients for properties throughout the United States;Loan Document negotiation;Reviewing title commitments and underlying title exception documents and surveys;Coordinating with title company and surveyor to finalize for closing;Reviewing commercial leases and preparing lease abstracts; andPerforming other tasks and duties as assigned in all phases of the real estate life cycle. Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and J.D. from an accredited law school;Minimum 4+ Years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Finance;Knowledge or interest in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily, affordable housing, and other areas of public finance and community development preferred, but not required;Experience working with a Document Management system;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;Desire to be trained and mentored in a fast-paced, team environment; andAbility to interact effectively with attorneys and colleagues.Cassin is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
