Medical Malpractice Attorney

The PositionThis is an excellent opportunity for an Associate to learn, grow, and take on important responsibilities with a leading regional medical malpractice, healthcare provider, and long-term care provider defense team.Key Responsibilities:Independently manage a caseload involving medical malpractice claimsWork closely with other attorneys, team members, and Partners on legal projectsRegularly handle court appearances and depositionsCommunicate with clients and provide status reportsOpportunity to handle significant caseload of COVID lawsuitsQualificationsJD from an accredited law schoolMust be admitted to practice in NY2+ years of defense litigation experienceExperience in Medical Malpractice preferredExcellent written and oral communication skillsLegal project management experience is helpfulA variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
