Job Summary:The Letter of Credit Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Strategic Sectors and Distribution business lines across the Americas, including Global Energy & Commodities, Project Finance, Acquisition Sponsor Finance, and Aviation. This position collaborates closely with Operations Management and other support functions to ensure efficient service delivery, risk management, and process optimization.The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to professionalism. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Letters of Credit (L/C) is required, with expertise in:Issuing Import L/Cs, including both Documentary and Standby.Advising, confirming, and discounting Export L/Cs, including document examination and discrepancy identification.Processing documentary collections and executing payments related to L/Cs.Managing participation L/C maintenance, reconciliation, and periodic fee processing.Key Responsibilities:Issue and amend various types of Letters of Credit (L/Cs), including advising and confirming transactions through the SWIFT Alliance system.Examine and negotiate documents presented under Export L/Cs and identify any discrepancies.Execute wire payments related to L/C transactions.Process fee collection and reconcile participation L/Cs, investigating discrepancies when necessary.Issue fronting L/Cs on behalf of bank syndicates in syndicated transactions.Manage documentary collections (URC522) as required.Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, including USD and foreign currency transactions, ensuring proper account balances at all times.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with internal and regulatory standards.Partner with the Collateral Team to facilitate efficient processing of uncommitted transactions.Respond promptly to inquiries from Front Office teams and customers, providing expert guidance.Review and oversee outsourced work provided by Broadridge as needed.
