Now is the time to join local government in leading the way in civil rights! The Law Enforcement Bureau is hiring for 2 vacant Supervising Attorney Roles, one in employment and one in housing. Salary range: $120,000-$125,000Responsibilities include:Supervising attorneys and interventionists in investigating, negotiating resolutions of claims ofdiscrimination in either housing or employment.Supervising staff attorneys in the litigation of either housing or employment cases beforethe Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings from discovery and trial through andincluding issuance of an Administrative Law Judge report and recommendation and issuanceof a Commission order.Maintaining a personal caseload of cases under investigation and prosecution.Working with attorneys to ensure that cases are resolved in a timely manner.Working with attorneys to ensure that information provided in the public complaint process isused to identify systemic discrimination and repeat violations that may warrant Commission initiated investigations.Minimum QualificationsAdmission to the New York State Bar; and four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any bar, eighteen months of which must have been in the supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work.Housing: Employment:
