We offer an array of services that cover all types of fencing installation, associated gates, and miscellaneous iron works.As a leading full-service fencing company, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an estimator. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing blueprints, performing accurate takeoffs, developing cost estimates, and preparing competitive bid proposals. This position requires excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple estimation tasks to support project success and company growth.Key Responsibilities: Blueprint Analysis:Thoroughly review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to understand project scope and requirements. Takeoffs and Measurements:Perform precise material and quantity takeoffs from project plans.Identify all labor, material, and equipment needs based on project specifications. Job Pricing and Cost Estimation:Develop detailed cost estimates by analyzing material costs, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.Ensure estimates align with industry standards and company profitability goals. Proposal Development:Prepare and present comprehensive bid packages, including cost breakdowns, clarifications, and any required supporting documentation.Coordinate with clients and project managers to address scope clarifications and adjustments. Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:Solicit and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable terms. 6.Project Collaboration:Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure alignment on project scope and estimates.Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure a seamless transition from estimation to execution.Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope. Market and Industry Analysis:Stay updated on current market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new materials or methods relevant to the industry.Conduct research on market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate estimates.Work with the sales team to determine appropriate projects to bid. Record-Keeping and Documentation:Maintain organized and accurate records of all estimates, revisions, and final bid submissions.Utilize CRM and project management systems effectively to track and update job status.Follow public bid results to track critical data and trends for future bids.Customer Correspondence:Communicate directly with customers to gather project requirements, address inquiries, and provide updates on estimates.Serve as a liaison between clients and the project team to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the estimation process.Qualifications: Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in the construction or fencing industry.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.Strong mathematical and analytical skills.Experience with estimation software and tools.Familiarity with CRM systems and project management platformsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and client interactions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skillsBachelor's degreeWork Environment: This position requires a mix of office work and occasional site visits to assess project requirements or verify conditions.
