KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssists in client year end preparation and follow-up including assembling requisite year end requests, reconciliation and review of data received, importing into valuation software and processing documentation.Manages client needs regarding processing, service, and problem resolution in a timely and accurate manner while ensuring documentation and record keeping adheres to compliance standards.Successfully partners with Plan Administrator for plan valuation, updating gain/loss from recordkeeper, and compliance.Processes, submits, and services all retirement plan processes and requests; follows through to completion utilizing paperless procedures (including eSignature) where available.Assists in preparation of tracking retirement plan completion reporting on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.Maintains Retirement Plan database; defines and ensures adherence to appropriate client service models.Assists with expense and revenue specifics for department reporting.Manages multiple and competing priorities daily in pursuit of successfully achieving business objectives.Participates in a team-based environment to achieve department goals.Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or its equivalent required.Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills are required to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and others.Must be able to understand written and oral communications and interpret information written within plan documents.Advanced computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point). Must be computer literate with the ability to quickly learn new software application.Strong time management and organizational skills; able to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks at once.Ability to operate calmly in a high-pressure environment.Enthusiastic, dependable, highly motivated and detail oriented.Hands-on, open minded, proactive team player.Customer focused, high integrity, excellent work ethic.Excellent customer service skills are a must.Willingness to adhere to all principles of confidentiality.Must value operating in a collaborative work environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.Previous experience in independent financial services preferred.Basic knowledge related to benefit and/or retirement plans, i.e. deferrals, contributions, distributions, loans, calculations, testing, Form 5500, Safe Harbor plans a plus.Working knowledge of the laws and regulations associated with ERISA a plus.Please note the duties outlined above are intended to be a broad overview of the responsibilities of all Relation employees within this role.
