Job Title:Studio ManagerLocation:Westlake Village, CACompany:Voicing Change MediaAbout Us:Voicing Change Media, a podcast creator network launched by Rich Roll (award winning podcast host) and RXR Sports (talent management firm), are seeking a Studio Manager candidate who can execute on studio management and production needs for the shows in the network that record in our state of the art studio space in Westlake, CA. VCM is comprised of shows such as The Rich Roll Podcast, Soul Boom with Rainn Wilson, Feel Better, Live More (the largest health and wellness podcast in the UK), Mentor Buffet w/ Alexi Pappas and more, and is focused on elevating voices that help a global audience live healthier, more fulfilling lives.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Studio Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our studio, ensuring smooth interactions with clients, freelancers, and internal team members. This individual will manage client schedules, track studio activities, handle billing, provide production support, and lead our front-of-house operations. The Studio Manager will also play a key role in building and managing a team of freelancers, contributing to a collaborative and creative studio environment.Key Responsibilities:Client & Freelancer Scheduling:Manage and coordinate client bookings, ensuring smooth transitions between sessions, production shoots, and meetings.Schedule and coordinate freelancer assignments based on studio needs, balancing availability and expertise.Communicate effectively with clients and freelancers to confirm schedules and logistics.Team Management & Development:Build and maintain a talented pool of freelance videographers, editors, and photographers, ensuring a diverse and skilled team to meet production needs.Assign freelancers to projects based on their skill sets and availability, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth.Provide ongoing support and guidance to freelancers, ensuring quality output and adherence to studio standards.Front of House / Client-Facing:Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service from initial inquiries to project completion.Ensure clients feel supported, valued, and informed throughout their time in the studio.Maintain a professional, welcoming environment for all studio visitors.Studio Tracking & Billing:Track studio usage, including hours, resources, and project milestones, ensuring accurate records.Prepare and manage billing for clients, ensuring invoices are accurate and sent in a timely manner.Collaborate with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records and resolve any discrepancies.Studio Management:Oversee the physical and operational management of the studio, ensuring it is well-maintained, stocked with necessary supplies, and organized.Manage the scheduling of studio equipment and spaces, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently.Implement and uphold studio policies and procedures, ensuring compliance standards are met.Production Support:Provide hands-on support during studio sessions, assisting with setup, coordination, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.Collaborate with producers, directors, and other team members to ensure efficient production and ad creation workflows.Assist with creative, technical, and logistical aspects of production as needed, on a show-by-show basis.Studio Events:Collaborate with a team to plan and coordinate studio events, workshops, and special projects that promote the company and foster client engagement.Oversee the logistics and execution of studio events, ensuring all details are handled from concept to execution.Engage with external partners, clients, and stakeholders to build relationships and promote the studio's offerings.Qualifications:3-5 years of experience in studio management, production coordination, or a similar role within the creative media industry.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Experience with scheduling software, studio management tools, and basic accounting or billing systems.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.Strong leadership skills, with experience managing freelancers or small teams.A passion for creative media and working with diverse teams.Preferred Skills & Experience:Familiarity with audio and video production processes.Knowledge of event coordination and client relationship management.Experience working with clients in a creative or production-focused industry.Technical proficiency in industry-standard software and tools (e.g., scheduling software, accounting platforms).Benefits:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Health, dental, and vision benefits.Professional development opportunities.A creative, supportive, and collaborative work environment.Flexible work schedule and occasional remote work options.How to Apply:Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and qualifications for the Studio Manager role.
